Me and girlfriend went for a short walk around the park. You can find there different routes for walking and cycling. The shortest is around 40 mins walk with nice views. You can cycle on this route as well but if you decide to go biking i suggest you use the different trails available which they have different levels of difficulty. There is a cafe there (don't know the prices). Parking is a bit expensive, £4 for up to 2 hours(that's what we paid). The trails look well kept. Trail for kids are available as well as for the more experienced :) Very good day out. I recommend!
Tip 1 - always take extra warm gear with you in the winter, it's a lot colder on top of the hill than the surrounding area. Tip 2 - Always take a spare pair of boots/trainers with you, unless you're not worried about a lot of mud (and possibly dog poo) in your car. Tip 3 - The facilities at the site are good. Plenty of toilets, a cafe, bike hire and a rangers office (where you can get change or pay for your car parking). Its a great place to spend the day with the family, the added 'Highway Rat' points on the discovery trail make it ideal for younger children. There are loads of other trails and tracks (for cyclists and walkers) to cater for all abilities. The cafe is good, with indoor and outdoor seating, however it does get very busy and isn't cheap for food. The food is good and cooked fresh though.
